      By using BeatDL you confirm that you will only download audio content that you have the legal right to download - such as royalty-free beats, Creative Commons licensed audio, or content you own.
    

1. Permitted use

BeatDL is a tool designed for downloading and analyzing audio that is royalty-free, Creative Commons licensed, or otherwise freely available for download. You may use this service only for content you have the legal right to download.

Examples of permitted use:

Royalty-free beats uploaded by the creator with explicit download permission
Audio released under Creative Commons (CC0, CC BY, CC BY-SA, etc.)
Your own content uploaded to YouTube

2. Prohibited use

You may not use BeatDL to:

Download copyrighted music, beats, or any audio without the rights holder's explicit permission
Circumvent any technological protection measures (DRM) - doing so may violate the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA §1201) and equivalent laws
Redistribute downloaded content in violation of its license
Use the service for any unlawful purpose

3. User responsibility

You are solely and fully responsible for determining whether you have the right to download any given content. BeatDL does not verify the copyright status of content you request. By using the service you accept all legal liability arising from your use.

Use of this tool may also be subject to YouTube's Terms of Service, which prohibit downloading content without explicit permission from YouTube.

4. No server-side storage

BeatDL does not store, cache, or redistribute any audio content. The server acts as a transparent pass-through proxy between YouTube's CDN and your browser. Audio data passes through server RAM only and is never written to disk. All audio processing (BPM detection, key detection, encoding) occurs in your browser.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

BeatDL is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of BPM or key detection results. The service may be modified, restricted, or discontinued at any time without notice.

6. DMCA / Copyright infringement

If you believe content accessible through BeatDL infringes your copyright, please contact us at [email protected] with the following information:

Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed
The URL of the allegedly infringing content
Your contact information
A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of BeatDL after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
